For events (e.g. workshops, trainings, retreats) and class series, you can activate installment payments in YOGO. This gives your clients more flexibility when paying.
🧭 Step-by-Step Guide
1. Activate Installment Payment
Go to your YOGO account and create your event or course block.
Activate the option “Payment in installments available.”
2. Set Up the Installments
For each installment, enter:
-
Payment date (The first installment is due upon purchase)
-
Amount (make sure all installments together equal the total price).
Use whole amounts only and avoid decimals.
📘 Good to Know
- If a payment date has already passed, the first and second installment (or all overdue installments) will be automatically charged at the time of purchase.
Example:
A retreat costs €600.
You want to offer 3 installments:
-
-
1st installment: €100 on March 1
-
2nd installment: €250 on April 1
-
3rd installment: €250 on May 1
-
If the client purchases on April 10, the first and second installments (€350) will be charged automatically, since the payment date of the second installment has already passed.
- If you set up installment payments for a class series, please note: When you set up class series, you can allow people to buy the remaining part of a class series after it has started. Normally, the customer will only pay for the remaining part, e.g 7 out of 10 classes. This does not work for installment payments. The installment payments will always cover the original, full price, so 10 out of 10 classes, even though only 7 are left. Hence, consider disabling installments after the class series has started.
- Clients can choose at checkout whether they want to pay the full amount upfront or in installments.
- Installments can also be scheduled after the event or course block has started.
