How to set up a campaign on a membership
A campaign lets you offer a membership at a reduced price, or completely free, for a limited period, e.g. the first month. The campaign is set up directly on the membership itself, under the individual payment option.
Step by step: How to create a campaign
- Go to Prices → Memberships
- Create a new membership
- A campaign can only be used by new members and not already existing members.
- Set up the payment option
- Activate the campaign
- Fill in the campaign fields
- See the explanation of each field below.

- Save the campaign by clicking "create"
The campaign fields explained
- Campaign name: The name of the campaign. Used only internally to keep track of it, e.g. "Summer campaign"
- Campaign type: How long the campaign price should apply. "A number of months", is a fixed number of months at the reduced price. "Until specific date" refers to a specific date, often used to attract sign-ups ahead of a launch or opening.
- Reduced price (0 = free): The price the customer pays during the campaign period, in your local currency. Set to 0 if the campaign should be completely free.
- Months at reduced price / free: The number of months the reduced price applies. If set to 1 only the first month is discounted. After that, the price automatically returns to the regular price.
- Repurchase not possible (months): A lock-out period that prevents a customer from cancelling and repurchasing the membership to get the campaign offer again. If set to 12, the customer can get the campaign again 12 months after cancelling.
Important to know
The campaign price is set in your local currency, not as a percentage. If the customer should instead get a percentage discount (e.g. 20%), use a discount code under Admin → Promotion codes instead.
"Repurchase not possible" is your protection against misuse. Without it, a customer could in theory cancel and repurchase the membership again and again to keep getting the campaign price.
Remember the "For sale" field. If the membership isn't set to for sale, customers can't purchase it themselves, not even at the campaign price.
