Open Gym

If you have open facilities where students should be able to drop in during the day, you can use the 'Open Gym' feature

At YOGO check-in, where customers can also check in for classes, there will be a QR code that students can scan with their phones if it is enabled. If they have the app, all they need to do is confirm their check-in

Setting up Open Gym in YOGO admin

  1. Go to YOGO admin --> 'Settings' --> 'Open Gyms'
  2. Click the small '+' in the top right corner
  3. Give your 'Gym' a name
  4. Select the location where the training will take place
  5. Create opening hours for when it is open for training

Grant memberships access to your Open Gym

  1. Go to YOGO admin --> 'Prices' -->
  2. Click on your memberships that should grant access to your gym, one at a time
  3. Scroll down to 'Grants access to train in' and select the gym to be linked to that membership
  4. Click 'Save'.

Setting up Open Gym in the studio

  1. We recommend using an iPad or similar device that can be mounted in the studio
  2. The first time, go to Go to clientname.yogobooking.com/checkin (replace "clientname" with your YOGO client domain; contact us if you are unsure what it is)
  3. Then, add it to the home screen:
On iOS: Tap the small square with an arrow pointing up, then select 'Add to Home Screen'
On Android: Tap the button with three dots, then select 'Add to Home Screen'
  4. The next time you open check-in, it will open as an app without the address bar visible
  5. In the morning, when the first instructor arrives, they log in with their instructor credentials, and a QR code will appear on the check-in module.

See more about the Checkin-module here.

Customer use of Open Gym

  1. When a customer arrives at the studio, they simply need to open the camera on their phone. They will be directed to their customer login (if they have selected 'Remember me on this device,' they will proceed directly). If the studio has purchased the app, it will automatically open

  2. They should then tap 'Check-in,' and the customer will be registered. 🤸‍♀️
