This is how you create and use class types to structure your offerings and your schedule.
Class Types and What You Can Do With Them
The classes in your schedule are based on templates that include the class name, schedule color, image, and description. These templates are called class types.
Examples: Yoga, CrossFit, and Pilates, or Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, and Yin Yoga.
Class types help organize your offerings and give your clients an easy way to find and select the type of class they want.
You can assign each class type its own color. The individual classes will then appear in your schedule in that color.
Your clients can filter your schedule by class types and click on a class in the schedule to learn more about it.
How to Set Up Your Offering:
Create and Use Class Types
-
Log in to YOGO Admin and click on "Class Types" in the menu.
-
Click the blue circle in the top right corner to create a new class type.
-
Enter the basic information:
-
Name: (e.g., Hatha Yoga, CrossFit, Pilates)
-
Image: Choose an image that represents the class type. It will be displayed when someone clicks on a class in the schedule to learn more. Use a square (1200 × 1200 px) formatiing for the image.
-
Color: Select a color that identifies this class type in the schedule.
-
Description: Add a short description of the class type, such as what kind of training it is, what clients can expect, and what level or intensity it has. There are no limits here.
-
💡 If you haven’t set up pricing yet, skip this step. 💡
-
Under "Access to this Class Type", define which memberships and passes (e.g., 10-class passes) can be used to book the respective classes.
-
In the dropdown menu, select the relevant memberships and passes for both on-site and online classes.
💡 If you haven’t created any emails yet, skip this step. Later, when creating emails, you can decide which class types they should be sent for. 💡
Configure Email Settings:
-
Do you want emails to be sent upon registration, cancellation, or as reminders for upcoming classes of this type? These can include additional information about the class.
-
You can create these emails by clicking "Settings" in the main menu, then "Email", and scrolling down.
-
Please note that YOGO already sends automatic system emails for events such as cancellations, waitlist spots, etc. (optional: adjust these emails under Settings → Email to match your studio's tone of voice).
Save the Class Type:
-
Click "Create" to save the new class type.
-
It will now appear in the list of class types, and you can add classes of this type to your schedule.
FAQ
Will a class type be displayed if I don’t offer any classes of that type in the schedule?
No. The overview of your class types is only visible to you in YOGO Admin. The name, image, color, and description are only visible to clients if a class in the schedule is based on that type.
When someone clicks on a class in my schedule, no image or text appears. Why?
This indicates that you created the class type and assigned it a color, but didn’t add an image or description. You can easily edit class types by clicking on the class type in the overview in YOGO Admin.
How to delete a class type?
If you want to remove a class type, you should remove the classes from the schedule before deleting the class types.
