What is the difference between class series and events?

Although events and class series may seem similar, there are significant differences

Events

The event funktion is primarily for individual events or workshops where participants register by paying a set fee that you set.

Events can include multiple dates, but unlike "class series," participants cannot enroll after the first date of the event has started.

However, for events, there is the option of installment payments, especially if it's a larger service being sold, such as a teacher training or retreat.

Class series

This feature is ideal if you sell an entire season at once instead (or alongside) drop-in training.

Class series consists of connected classes from the schedule. This means that the same class types and classes created in the weekly schedule are used. Then selected classes are linked together to form a "class series." Various setups can be arranged for class series. For example, participants may be allowed to enroll after the start of the the class series (which is not possible for events), grant access for customers to cancel individual classes within a class series, and more.

Class series can also be combined to be both a structured program and allow drop-in attendance for individual classes, where regular memberships and class passes can be used.

Common to both events and class series is that a fee is set for participants to pay upon registration. Therefore, a monthly membership cannot be used to register for an event or an entire class series.
