The waitlist is an efficient way to manage fully booked classes
The waitlist function is fully automated, and customers are notified by email and optionally by SMS when a spot becomes available.
The waitlist is linked to your cancellation deadline. Before the cancellation deadline, a waitlist spot is binding. Once the cancellation deadline has passed, the waitlist becomes non-binding – see below.
Step 1: Activate and configure your waitlist
Go to YOGO Admin > “Settings” > “Waitlist” and check whether waitlists are activated. Then choose how many people should be allowed on the waitlist.

If a class is fully booked, students with a valid access pass for that class can now join the waitlist ✅.

When someone joins the waitlist, their position on the waitlist is clearly indicated.

Until the cancellation deadline has passed, waitlist spots are binding. Once the cancellation deadline has passed, waitlist spots become non-binding.
This means:
A spot in the class becomes available before the cancellation deadline passes
If a spot opens up before the cancellation deadline, the person in position #1 on the waitlist automatically receives that spot. The student will receive both an email notification and, optionally, an SMS.
Their booking is equal to all other registered participants in the class. This means the same rules for no-shows and late cancellations apply; regardless of whether the booking was made directly or via the waitlist.
A spot in the class becomes available after the cancellation deadline has passed
The end of the waitlist period is tied to the cancellation deadline set under “No-show fees.” When the waitlist is lifted, all people on the waitlist receive an email notification.
In the “Waitlist” menu, you can tick the box for notifications. This way, the waitlist remains active but becomes non-binding. If someone cancels their spot in the class, everyone on the waitlist—regardless of their position—receives an email. Then it works on a “first come, first served” basis.
Enable SMS for the waitlist
Go to YOGO Admin > “Settings” > “SMS” and activate the paid add-on (€0.07 per SMS with 150 characters).
You can customize the SMS text freely (do not use liks).

Note on waitlists with partner integrations (ClassPass, Bruce, Urban Sports Club):
If you use an integration with one of these partners, the waitlist works as follows:

If a spot in your class becomes available, YOGO first checks your own YOGO waitlist.

Only if nobody is waiting there will the spot be assigned to someone from the partner waitlist.
