      How to set up the YOGO livestream and test your streaming

      How to set up and stream your classes with the YOGO livestream.

      With the YOGO livestream, you can easily broadcast a class live online. The livestream can be combined with physical classes, making it feel almost like being there in person for your clients.

      Note: The integrated livestream is available from the YOGO Studio plan. Feel free to contact us if you’d like to upgrade.
      Of course, you can still offer your online classes using external streaming providers like Zoom or Google Meet. Learn more in our article on using external streaming services.

      Setting up the Livestream

      To configure the YOGO livestream settings, simply follow the instructions below:

      1. Log in as an administrator and go to “Settings” > “Livestream” > “Activate Livestream.”

        1. NOTE: The livestream costs €0.30 per participant and teacher per 60 minutes.

          Here’s an example:

          A 60-minute class with 9 livestream participants and 1 teacher costs €3.

          A 60-minute class with 4 livestream participants and 1 teacher costs €1.50.

          This amount will be added to your monthly invoice.

      2. Next, go to “Price” in the main menu and click on each membership/pass for which you want to make the livestream available.

      3. In the field “Applies to class types, livestream,” select the class types you want to grant livestream access to.

      4. When creating a class in the Schedule, select in the “Livestream” field whether the class should be livestream only or Attendance class + livestream.

      Once the livestream is set up, the class will be bookable via the schedule.
      Students with a valid membership or class pass can now sign up ✅.

      All registered students will automatically receive an email with a link to the class.
      Alternatively, they can open the livestream directly via their customer profile or from the schedule.

       

      We recommend testing the feature before going live.

      Livestream Test

      To test a livestream, you’ll need two devices:

      • One for the teacher (to broadcast the stream)

      • One for the member (to receive the stream)

      Follow these steps to test your livestream:

      1. Log in to the admin area and go to “Schedule.”
        Create a test class with yourself as the teacher for the same day (livestreams can only be started on the day they are scheduled).
        Make sure to select either “Attendance class + livestream” or “Livestream only,” and set the max number of participants to more than 1.

      2. Log in using your customer profile and sign up for your livestream test class.
        The link to your customer login is:

        (Replace "NameOfYourStudio" with your actual studio name)

        If you’re unable to sign up for the livestream class, check whether your customer profile has a membership/class pass that grants access to that class.

      3. Log in as the teacher via:
        NameOfYourStudio.yogobooking.com/teacher
        (Replace "NameOfYourStudio" with your actual YOGO studio name)

        In the test class, click “Open livestream.”
        You’ll now be able to adjust camera angle, etc.

      4. Click “Start livestream” when you’re ready, and wait until the “Online” label appears.

      5. Smile – you're live now!

      6. Log in as a member, and click “Open livestream” either from the schedule or from the start page of your customer profile. Now you’re ready to join the live session as a participant ✅.
