All About Setting Up, Managing, and Redeeming Gift Cards
You have two options for issuing gift cards:

Offer gift cards online and in the customer profile for purchase. These can either be sent automatically, or you can send them manually after purchase.

Create gift cards without a purchase process. These are always sent manually.
Option 1: Offer gift cards online and in the customer profile for purchase. Send them automatically or manually.
Log in to YOGO Admin, go to “Settings” and then to “Gift cards”. Here you set the following general rules for your gift cards:

The minimum amount

The validity period
-
Whether the gift card should be sent automatically or manually (more on this in the next two sections)

Whether the gift card should be displayed in a price group and thus purchased via your price list, or if you only want to add it as a direct link on your website.
This is how your gift card will appear with your passes and memberships:

Tick “Show gift cards in prices”.

Important: You must select a price group and a name for your gift card to appear in your price list.
Add a direct link to your gift card:
You can also (or alternatively) add a direct link to your gift card at any location on your website.
Use the following link and replace YOURstudio with your studio name:
YOURstudio.yogobooking.com/frontend/index.html#/gift
Now choose whether your gift card should be sent automatically or manually:
Send gift card automatically
If you select “Automatically by system upon purchase”, the gift card will be sent immediately after purchase to the person who bought it. They can then pass it on.
The gift card email consists of an automated text that you can customize as you like.
Click “Save”. ✅
Send gift card manually
If you select “Manually by studio”, only a purchase confirmation will be sent first. When purchased, a gift card code will be generated, which you can view in YOGO Admin.
This way, you can design the gift card yourself. You can then send it via email, or also easily create physical gift cards.
How this works will be explained in the following section.

Manage and send gift cards manually
If you selected “Manually by the studio after purchase” as the sending method in your gift card settings, you must manually send all gift cards purchased via your price list or the direct link.
The same applies to gift cards you create without a purchase process (see next section).

Go to “Gift cards” in the grey menu in YOGO Admin.

In the overview, you’ll find information about your gift cards:

Sent gift cards are highlighted in green.

Unsended gift cards are highlighted in yellow.

Click the gift card you want to edit.
-
Copy the information into a PDF, an email, or onto a physical gift card.

Click “Mark as sent” once you’ve sent or handed over the gift card. The gift card will now be highlighted in green in the overview.
Option 2: Create gift cards manually without a purchase process
There are situations where you want to issue gift cards without receiving money. For example, as compensation for a canceled class, or as a thank-you for special commitment.
If you want to issue your gift card free of charge, follow this guide:

Go to “Gift cards” in the grey menu in YOGO Admin.

Click the blue +.

Fill in the data and click “Create”. Note: Remaining value = total amount, if the gift card should still be fully available.

If you selected “Automatically by system upon purchase” in the gift card settings in YOGO Admin’s blue menu, the gift card will now be sent.

If you selected “Manually by the studio after purchase”, follow the instructions in the previous section.
How your customers redeem their gift card
Customers can either receive a gift card code manually from the studio or automatically via YOGO. The field to redeem a gift card or discount code is the same.

If the gift card or discount recipient does not have a profile in YOGO, they must first create one.

If a profile already exists, the person simply logs in.

Next, they select what they want to purchase and enter the code they received into the field, as shown in the image below.
Once the person clicks “Apply code”, the code is added to the purchase, and the gift card amount is deducted from the price of the purchased product.
Important: If the gift card is to be redeemed for a membership (subscription), it can only be applied to the first membership payment. The remaining value can be used for other offers, such as a workshop or a class passes.
